KSJ 's areas of specialisation involve the application and customisation of contemporary management concepts and processes to help companies improve the quality of their strategic decisions and operational processes.

KSJ is effectively trilingual in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia and Malaysia. He holds an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master Degree in Manufacturing System Engineering from Queen's University, U K. He obtained his MBA, majoring in Corporate Strategic Planning, from the University of Manchester after working for couple of years as an industrial engineer. Prior as the managing partner of S2MC, he was a senior management consultant of a leading management-consulting firm in Singapore.

As a management consultant, Khoo has worked with numerous Singapore and overseas companies in the areas of business diagnosis, feasibility study, strategic business planning, development of improved internal operating systems, cost of quality projects and various training programs to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
